I took a short trip today through LA’s cherry blossom-lined streets in Chinatown. The architecture and historical relevance of the area require a day alone to enjoy. Shopping and eating will be on the docket for the next trip. Enjoy. 😉
Downtown LA always lures me back. At this point, I’ve walked the streets of DTLA so many times I can’t count the miles – but I always find new art, hidden street art, shops and pockets of social commentary to appreciate. LA’s downtown is home to arts and museums districts, the “historic core” (which now has its own… Read More DTLA
So, I’m a little sad that I only discovered this on accident as I was patronizing the row of food trucks that park themselves parallel to the LACMA during lunch. Behind the Wall is an exhibit that’s apparently been standing here for a few years, on loan from the Wende Museum. Several artists were commissioned… Read More Behind the Wall Exhibit
These pictures represent a snippet of the DTLA arts district – a blend of funky businesses and industry, restaurants, artists studios and newly renovated lofts – and personality. And, of course, art is EVERYWHERE. 👏🏽🎨👀

There isn’t much that excites me as much as the holidays. This year, I started mine with old friends in San Francisco and Oakland. The Union Square Macy’s Tree Lighting, general madness of holiday shoppers, signature Starbucks off Union trip, and Embarcadero ice skating rink are all captured in my wild picture taking spree across… Read More San Francisco, Holidays 2015
I had the chance to spend more time in and around Oakland on this trip (Thanksgiving). The unmatched views from East Oakland, charm of Lake Merritt and street art of Downtown Oakland (along with Preservation Park) are just a few of things I can now say I’m lucky to have experienced. 😍 … Read More Oakland
Today’s wandering brought me to an awesome, local sanctuary (for humans and animals alike): the Venice Canals (as written about beautifully by the LA Times).
