An unexpected adventure took me to this spot off I-75. We missed the sunset almost entirely, but it was still one of the more amazing experiences I’ve had in a long time.

We saw a blue heron, jumping fish, egret, moving lily pads (not sure how this was happening) – and an alligator who zigzagged across the waterway several times. 🐊

The River of Grass is a perfect name for the beautifully serene expanse that is the Everglades.
