Hecho en Cuba was an exhibit shared by the Center for Cuban Studies (based in NYC) and curated by Sandra Levinson at Santa Monica’s Arena 1 Gallery (part of the Santa Monica Art Studios). Every inch of gallery space held some gem – from politics to aesthetics to commerce – and I am only sad that today (11/21/15) was the exhibit’s last day. As a native Miamian, this is something I’d love to see as a permanent installation somewhere (ahem, PAMM) or while visiting Wynwood.
